Zhang Xiaofan not only can practice them together, he can combine them and make them far stronger together.

So the righteous faction hypocrisy kept pushing their luck with MC until he was disappointed in them and when the righteous faction saw that he is planning to leave, they decided to kill him leading to MC leaving them and join the Demonic Sect.
